THE NEW CHOICE FOR INSULATION!

The P2000 Insulation System is a new super-efficient thermal insulation product that delivers outstanding insulation protection. It's tested! It's approved! And it works!

The P2000 Insulation System can be used for many applications:

  • New construction and renovation.
  • Residential and commercial buildings.
  • Interior and exterior.
  • Wood frame, steel, and concrete structures.
  • Most any insulating project.
  • Ceilings
    • Excellent for vaulted ceilings.
    • Easy application for new construction - insulation and vapour barrier in one.
    • Easy retro-fit - apply over existing ceiling - strap (optional) - sheetrock.
  • Floors
    • Under concrete radiant heat slabs and other radiant floor systems.
    • Concrete basement floors (below or as part of sub-floor).
    • Under crawl spaces.
    • Ideal for mini/mobile home floors.
  • Walls
    • Achieve R20+ performance in a 2" x 4" wall.
    • Outside - apply under siding, brick, stucco, steel, etc.
    • Inside - apply over studs or existing walls (Eg. Lathe & Plaster) without messy tear-out.
    • Basement walls - applied directly to concrete.
  • Attics
    • Apply under trusses or on underside of rafters.
    • A quick efficient way to insulate.
  • Roofs
    • Apply above or below roof framing (wood or steel) - with steel, aluminum, even asphalt shingles.
  • Plumbing & Ductwork
    • Covering ductwork (to avoid formation of condensation).
    • Insulate water heaters, pipes under floors, pump houses, etc.
  • Other Applications
    • Cold storage - cold rooms, walk-in freezers.
    • Agricultural & industrial buildings - white ceilings with P2000 applying sheathing, white finish, vapour barrier & insulation in one application.
    • Removable insulation panels / to block off rooms, insulate windows.

How it Works

Insulation & Heat Loss

  • Insulation effectively reduces the rate of heat loss (winter) and heat gain (summer).
  • It is commonly believed a well insulated wall must be a thick wall
  • P2000 defies conventional thinking by delivering high performance insulation with a thin board product.

3 Types of Heat - 3 Types of Heat Loss/Gain

  • Conduction - transfer of heat through solids (heat on a warm floor).
  • Convection - transfer of heat through the air (hot air from a heat vent).
  • Radiation - transfer of energy (not heat) that becomes heat once absorbed by objects - (sunlight is radiant energy).

Radiant Heat

  • Radiant heat energy accounts for:
    • 50 - 75% of building heat loss in the winter heating season.
    • up to 93% of heat gain in the summer (resulting in higher air conditioning costs).

But most insulations have little/no effect on radiant heat.

Insulating Radiant Heat

Radiant energy can be controlled using radiant "blockers" - special materials that reflect radiant energy.

The P2000 Insulation System reflects up to 97% of radiant heat energy.

This means P2000 Insulation blocks the transfer of radiant heat energy - which significantly:.

  • Reduces heat loss (winter)
  • and reduces heat gain (summer).

What else makes The P2000 Insulation System so efficient

  • P2000's special EPS foam core (similar to a foam cup) provides another level of insulation protection. Most of the energy that is not blocked by reflective laminates is absorbed by the foam core.

  • P2000 has a seaming system - providing double seal protection against wind, cold, and moisture.

  • P2000 is an insulator and vapour barrier in one.

  • P2000's foam core is virtually waterproof.

  • P2000 installs accross walls - thus eliminating thermal bridging through wood / steel framing.

  • P2000 does not sag, settle, rot, gas-off, or absorb moisture (which can reduce insulation performance) in other insulation products.

20 Year Warranty!

We believe that a product is as good as its warranty. The P2000 Insulation SystemTM really Works, so we offer a 20 year warranty on our product.

So as long as the insulation is installed in accordance with our Application Guide, P2000TM will replace defective insulation - for up to 20 years after purchase! Read our warranty.
